Last year right before Thanksgiving I was on my way to rehearsal & a small sized car was in front of me with a big tree strapped on top of it. It was a looong ride down this state route 42 to my drummers place in London, OH. So I had lots of time to take in the excitement of the kid in the back of the car. I was remembering how exciting Christmas is when your a kid & the chorus hit me while driving. I recorded it on my voice memo on my phone so I wouldn't forget it & once I got home after a 3 hour rehearsal I finished writing it. This was recorded live on a whim in Columbus, OH at Kafe Kerouac for an online youtube Christmas show in 2019 full of local musicians.
